Continued Service to Our Nation

As Peace Corps Volunteers

●Nearly 1,100 Rhode Island citizens have served as Peace Corps Volunteers. Approximately 45 citizens are currently serving from Rhode Island. In 2017, Rhode Island ranked 4th in the nation on a per capita basis for sending Peace Corps Volunteers overseas.

●Among medium colleges and universities, University of Rhode Island ranks 21st in the nation in sending Peace Corps Volunteers overseas.

As Returned Peace Corps Volunteers

●More than 460 Rhode Island citizens are connected with the National Peace Corps Association (NPCA).

●NPCA Member Groups include the Rhode Island RPCVs.

●Rhode Island RPCVs take part in annual beach clean-ups along Narragansett Bay.
