Adult Education Professional Development RFP

To all Prospective Bidders this addendum hereby revises RFP CN170015 and Addendum 1, as follows:

Page 5, Request for Proposals, Section 2 Background, add to end of section:

There is approximately 200 local providers needing professional development services, consisting of adult schools, community based organizations, community colleges, and libraries. Currently, approximately 1000 teachers/counselors and 250 administrators participate in the CDE’s adult education professional development offerings.

Adult education in California serves anyone age 18 and above as specified in California Education Code Section 8510.

Page 15, Request for Proposals, Section 3 Scope of Project, Task 4.2 Face-to-Face Professional Development Trainings, Item A:

Delete Item A and replace with:

The Technical Proposal must acknowledge and ensure that the costs for all professional development training, including travel and lodging of participants (excluding CDE staff), are to be provided by the successful bidder. Incentives and substitute costs will not be reimbursed for this task. The Technical Proposal must acknowledge and ensure that all workshops will be conducted in 4 sessions, each session should be three to four hours in length, each workshop for a total of 12 hours in length. The Technical Proposal must acknowledge and ensure that the first session, unless otherwise approved by CDE, must be conducted in person. The other sessions could be Webinar or online. The Technical Proposal must describe and demonstrate in detail how the bidder proposes to ensure that each session will have sufficient intensity and duration to be effective. The successful bidder will provide a minimum of 15 face-to-face trainings per year. The Technical Proposal must acknowledge and ensure when appropriate, the successful bidder will provide all participants the required materials for background reading before each training session.

Both of the individually sealed and labeled proposals (Technical and Cost Proposals) can be packaged and mailed together.
