ASSISTANT EMPLOYER ENGAGEMENT DIRECTOR

A vacancy exists for the post of Assistant Employer Engagement Director with Reserve Forces’ and Cadets’ Association for Yorkshire and The Humber (RFCAYH). The successful applicant will be based in Yorkshire and must live within reasonable travelling distance of York.

RFCAYH is an organisation that supports various aspects of the Reserve Forces and Cadet organisations throughout the Yorkshire and The Humber through administration of the cadet forces, engaging with employers, working closely with reservists and cadet personnel to raise and maintain a positive profile for them in their local community.

Applicants must have a reasonable understanding of the military environment; Regular Forces, Reserves and Cadets. Some knowledge of the Reserve Forces Act 1996 and Defence Employer Engagement activities will be an advantage:

As part of a small team, the post holder must be self- motivated, highly organised and able to identify and prioritise targets. The appointment calls for:

a. Good management and organisational skills.

b. Good communication, interpersonal and presentational skills

c. Strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel; and the management of a CRM database.

d. A current driving licence.

The starting salary is £24,934. Those who are eligible and elect to join the pension scheme will also receive a non-pensionable 6% enhancement to cover superannuation contributions.

The holiday entitlement is 25 days annual leave on entry plus public holidays.

The appointment is for a probationary period of six months in the first instance.
