At RTS our Degree Program promotes the synthesis of academic knowledge, biblical perspective with a Christian worldview in order that there might be a maturing of spirituality, intellectual, social and a physical value-driven behavior.
We encourage students to engage in a major field of study in career-focused disciplines built on a solid foundation and within our liberal arts courses they are designed to encourage students to become moral leaders who are seminary qualified to spread the Word of God throughout the nation and set a responsible Christian example through their lifestyle and vocation.

“The National Christian Counselors Association” is an educational and training organization for Christian Counselors.
“N.C.C.A.’s main purpose is to provide quality training for pastors and Christians who feel God’s call to counsel. NCCA’s training results in credentials that the community (Christian and non-Christian) will recognize.” RTS is recognized as one of the qualified institution certified to prepare students for NCCA Certification. ” The N.C.C.A. requires all who are certified or licensed by its
Licensing Board of Examiners to:
· Be credentialed ministers (ordained, licensed or commissioned) whose goal is to evangelize and ease the emotional pain and suffering of humanity).
· Prove their service under the authority of a legally organized local church, a national church organization or a
501 (c) (3) non-profit ministry.
· Complete specialized training provided by the N.C.C.A.
· Complete the minimum requirements for continuing education and annual license renewal.
· Uphold N.C.C.A.‘s Code of Ethical Standards.”
Phase I the student will receive a Certificate after the completion of (5) courses of studies. The certificate will be Temperament counseling. Phase II each candidate will complete ( 3 ) additional courses and the student will receive a License Pastoral Counselor Certificate if the student holds a Bachelor’s degree and or if the student holds a Master’s will receive License Clinical Pastoral counselor certificate and for a Doctorate will receive a License Clinical Pastoral Counselor advance certified Certificate. RTS is excited to partner with NCCA in the training of Christian Counselors.

All candidates desiring NCCA Certification are required to have current ministerial credentials in order to be credentialed as a pastoral counselor by the National Christian Counselors Association. To be ordained or commissioned requires an additional course which is the written responses to a 500 question open book Equivalency Exam on the Bible (Old and New Testament – KJV).
