Job Description
Responsible to: Head of School / Senior Office Manager
You will be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults. DBS checks are compulsory.
Main Purpose of the job
Administrative: To provide high quality reception service for parents, visitors, pupils and staff; and undertake general administrative duties within school.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Greeting visitors to the school signing in and signing out, issuing security passes, providing essential support to pupils and staff.
- Telephone, reception and post duties
- Duplicating and distributing information
- Phoning parents of pupils i.e. Children who have not arrived at school.
- Deal with requests for stationery and reprographic services.
- Stationery stock tidy / control / distribution / replacement.
- Check deliveries
- Provide admin support for staff as directed by the Head of School.
- Deal with emergencies as reported to the office i.e. contacting parents.
- Support the maintenance of pupils’ safety and security
- Support the development and effectiveness of team work within the school environment.
- Develop and maintain working relationships with other professionals.
- Support the management of School’s Health and Safety Guidelines.
- Be aware of cultural differences between pupils, dealing with any incidents of racism or sexism in accordance with agreed procedures.
- To have due regard for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and to follow child protection procedures adopted by the school. Report any suspected cases of child abuse to the Senior designated Person for Child Protection.
- Participate in training and other learning activities and performance development as required.
- To undertake any other duties that is within the scope of the post as determined by the Head of School.
This job description is normally subject to annual review. It may be amended at the request of the Head of School or the post holder but only after full consultation with the post holder.

Attention to detail, able to maintain neat and accurate records.
