Respiratory System WANTED POSTER Project/Competition

Each person is going to be given a part of the respiratory system. Using the book and any other reliable sources of information, each person must complete a Wanted Poster about their organ. Each student will need 11x17 piece of paper and you will be working on your own in this project. On this piece of paper, you are going to design a wanted poster around your part of the respiratory system and you must include:

·  The name of the organ (This could be incorporated into a nickname of the criminal that is wanted)

·  The location of the organ (This could be the “town” where they are wanted or where they are from)

·  The look of the organ (This could be their description on the poster AND the actual picture of the organ)

·  The organs importance to the respiratory system (Why they are wanted)

·  Other areas of the body that are affected by this organ or help this organ work (These could be the accomplices or victims)

·  The parts/important vocabulary words from the book about the organ and any other interesting information about your organ you come across (These could be eye witness accounts of which you must have 5)

·  Have the citations as the sponsors who want to catch your criminal

·  Be the front of one page only and does NOT contain your name (I want them to be anonymous at first, you will put you names on the back after the judging)

The different posters will be grouped and the class will vote on the best one for each organ. This page will be photocopied and will become the notes for that organ and the winners will also receive 3 bonus points on this assignment. However, the bonus points will be forfeited if you “campaign” for your poster to win. Remember, you are voting for the best to use as your notes for this section.
