A few ideas to consider (funds permitting, although some are free!)
- Careers notice boards and use of internal Digi-screens to display information and opportunities
 - Post regular information on the website – video on home page refers to apprenticeships
 - Feature articles on careers related events in newsletter/school magazine
 - Include a page or two within thestudent planner
 - Create an on-line careers folder for students/parents to access information
 - Include information within the staff handbook
 - Self-evaluate using the Compass Tool – linked to Gatsby benchmarks – Tracker Tool
 - Ensure ‘options’ publications feature progression routes and careers references,for example KS3 option choices/Post 16 and Post 18 brochures. This qualification could lead 
to a career in…… - Take advantage of free apprenticeship workshops – Get in Go Far – Ask Project/Work pays
 - Book yourself on a free Webinar – Cascaid/National Careers Service have some great ones!
 - Attend local Business Club meetings to encourage work placements and mock interview support – prepare flyers to take away
 - Careers Library – part of our main school Library
 - Get involved with the NCS programme – excellent CEIAG links
 - Employer engagement – we work with LEP and Peterborough Skills Service
- ACTi-Vote for students and staff CPD to gather feedback.
- Mentoring programme.
- Develop cross curricular links. Examples include Travelex and Lloyds – Maths lessons,
Peterborough United FC – all these programmes/activities provided FOC.
Ask for sponsorship! - Editorial within local free publications – I’d Rather be in Deeping/Discovering The Deepings
 - Visit colleagues in other schools to share best practice and ideas for delivery i.e. can the
Careers Investigator programme be delivered via Computer Science lessons? - CEC Toolkit (for attending the East of England Careers Show)
 - Work Ready Site – free for schools
 - Purchase‘careers’ roller banners for display at key school and community events
 
- Purchase subject – careers related posters for HoD to display in subject rooms
 - Utilise your Alumni – if you have one – Open letters to Y10 WX and Y12 Post 18
 - Tweet or use Facebook
 - Contract a specialist careers guidance adviser for one-to-one interviews
 - Dedicated careers computer programmes – KUDOS*/JED/UNIFROG/FAST TOMATO/START**

- Careers Guidance Charts & Big Names Publications – same author. Hard copy and on-line
 - Which Way Now? and It’s Your Choice! – Hard copies, or on-line pdf versions
 - Real Game activities – through PSHEE/Maths/collapsed days
 - Work experience programme for Year 10 and Year 12 students. Develop further curriculum links with some of the organisations providing work placements
 - Post 16 and Post 18 options Careers Fairs and workshops
 - Parents/Carers’ information evenings
 - Enterprise organisations – Ryman National Challenge/Bright Futures/Cragrats etc.
 - STEM club after school with links to a local engineering firm – lots of careers and 
work-related links - Y 9 – 12 PP students – First Steps to Study programme with Bishop Gosseteste Uni
 - Barclays Life Skills – lesson plans, work experience record etc.
 - National Careers Service – good range of posters/lesson plans/LMI – CPD Digital Workshop during National Careers Week in March and student workshops beyond that week
