Request:

Reset password on Manila site.

Solution:

Go to frontier application.

On the Menu go to Menu  Suites  Web Edit

We have two Manila servers since it was a lot of information to be only on one, the two servers are:

ManilaWebsite.root

ManilaWebsiteTwo.root

Identify what server the member’s site is on, once the server is identified go to that server. Then go to Windows and look on the list of names for the member’s name to reset the password.

If the member’s name is not in the list hit enter to add the name, at first a line with item#1 will appear on that line type the name of the person like OKABE-KUBO, JOANN@manilawebsite.

In case the member’s name is already on the list go to the menu option WebEdit  Get from Server Membership group  Users  Open her name.

Here look at the password in STRING mode instead of BINARY.

In the site faculty.deanza.edu/member/login if you don’t find the site probably it is hidden.

There are two Manila servers (ManilaWebsites.root or ManilaWebsitesTwo.root) to support the amount of sites stored.

The sites stored in the Manila Serves start with the last name + first name + ManilaWebsite.

To access information about a certain ManilaWebsite like a password for example:

1) Locate the ManilaWebsite on the two Manila servers.

2) Look for the ManilaWebsite and open it.

3) Open membershipGroup

4) Open users

5) Open the name associated the person you are looking for, here you will see the information pertaining to the person that owns the site.

Password:

To be able to reset or to obtain the password on a certain site we have to select the password and at the bottom left on the screen we will find the option Kind, here we should select String to be able to see the content of the password.

In the case when we don’t see the ManilaWebsite listed on faculty/deanza.edu there is a possibility that it is hidden or doesn’t exist at all.

Here first we should verify if the site is hidden:

1)Go to

2)
