Research Project Tri-fold

This project is a visual and written demonstration of your research on a great leader. You want to purchase a project display board for this Tri-fold multimedia presentation. The sides of the board will need to fold in to make the board stand by itself. Organize your information like a newspaper so that your audience can quickly follow the thread of your biographical research by reading from top to bottom, then left to right.

Your board should be comprised of typed information about your research figure separated into major sectionswith a variety of relevant visuals. You must clearly describe in detail the subject’s character traits(3-5) and personal history showing the mistakes and failures, highlights and accomplishments, and quotes (2-3) that show the character’s leadership skills. (These are 3 separate sections.) You must give specific examples from cited sources of the great leader’s choices, actions, and words that make him/her great.

The center of the displayshould contain a title, pictures, 3-5 important facts (not included elsewhere), a timeline of the person’s life, a chart, or other graphically appealing visual that adds detail and relevance to your research. In the upper right hand corner, you must write a detailed paragraph about how this person has impacted or changed the world. At the bottom of your 2nd flap should be your annotated bibliography.

Carefully and neatly label relevant graphs, charts, and photos. Each visual item (graph, chart, table, diagram, picture, etc.) should have a caption that includes a description. The typed presentationshould be organized, neat, and professional with few/no errors.

Plan your board. Take time to mock up or "storyboard" your Project Display board on a sheet of paper before you start printing or gluing anything in place. This will help you best determine how to use your available space and how to size the elements you plan to include. Tip: Take time to review the sample layout shown below. Print a copy and make notes to indicate what information you'll include in each section. Make a list of elements you need to type up, or photos you need to print out.
