RESOLUTION AWARDING A CONTRACT TO

DUDE SOLUTIONS FOR ASSET MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE

WHEREAS,the Local Public Contracts Law, specifically, N.J.S.A. 40A:11-4.3b, allows the use of competitive contracting for the purchase of proprietary computer software designed for use by the Township of Raritan; and

WHEREAS, the Township Department of Public Works is in need of an Asset Management Program that will allow the Department of Public Works to manage and track road construction, maintenance and repairs, signs, storm sewers, leaf collection, fleet maintenance, facility maintenance, park maintenance, recycling, snow removal, including related costs; and

WHEREAS, the competitive contracting process was initiated by Resolution of the Township Committee on July 21, 2015; and

WHEREAS, on June 26, 2015, the Township received responses to the Request for Proposals for a Public Works Asset Management Program as follows:

WHEREAS, the Township Administrator prepared a report consistent with N.J.S.A. 40A:11-4.5d, which report is attached to this Resolution and was made available to the public for inspection; and

WHEREAS, the report recommends an award to Dude Solutions for three (3) years and five (5) months not to exceed $15,500.00 for the period from August 1, 2015 to December 31, 2015, at $53,429.00 for the period from January 1, 2016 to December 31, 2018; and

WHEREAS, the contract with Dude Solutions may be terminated earlier at the discretion of the Township of Raritan upon thirty (30)days notice to Dude Solutions, with a pro rata payment to Dude Solutions based on the monthly payment; and

WHEREAS, the Township Chief Financial Officer certified that funds are available in the 2015 budget for this purpose.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Township Committee of the Township of Raritan, in the County of Hunterdon, State of New Jersey, as follows:

  1. That a contract be awarded to Dude Solutions, 1100 Regency Parkway, Suite 110, Cory, North Carolina 27518 in a sum not to exceed $68,929.00 for the period August 1, 2015 to December 31, 2018.
  1. That the contract may be terminated by the Township of Raritan earlier than December 31, 2018, at the discretion of the Township of Raritan, upon thirty (30) days notice to Dude Solutions, with a pro rata payment to Dude Solutions based on the monthly payment.
  1. That the Chief Financial Officer certified that funds are available in the 2015 budget for these purposes.
  1. The contract must be approved by the Township Attorney prior to signature by the Mayor.

  1. That the Clerk publish notice of this award with the information required by N.J.S.A 40a:11-4.5g.
  1. This Resolution shall take effect immediately.
