Formula for SAT is GPA in college prep courses taken in 10th, 11th and 12th grades X 800 + SAT Critical Reading and Mathematics scores.
ACT formula is (GPA in college prep courses taken in 10th, 11th and 12th grades X 200) + (10 X ACT composite score).

Maritime
Mechanical Engineers must pass pre-calculus by H.S. graduation. They must also have a 550 Math SAT or 23 Math ACT to us by Jan. 11, 2013. Marine Transportation majors are recommended to take pre-calculus and physics. A Strong science or math preparation recommended for all other applicants.
The Marine Transportation major is impacted (competitive admissions).
Applicants with a 3.0 GPA or higher (applying into any major other than Mechanical Engineering or Marine Transportation) can be admitted without an SAT or ACT score although it is highly recommended to take either test.
Marine Transportation applicants have the option to submit a resume including leadership and seamanship experiences. If submitted, the resume may be considered in the evaluation process.
