AC FESTIVALCOMPETITION RULES 2017/18

U13 – U14 AGE GROUPS

The EH disciplinary code shall be applied throughout the AC competitions..

  1. The Host County must provide a Technical Officer for the day (this person to be responsible for making any decisions e.g. pitch condition, injury, umpire decisions, results etc. that may arise during matches). This person should be independent and not involved with the running of the squads.
  1. Umpires may be provided by the ERHUA, if available, but it is recommended that Counties seek help from their County Umpiring Associations.
  1. Each team must be responsible for their own first aid equipment. Please include ice/ice packs.
  1. It is recommended that no more than 16(10 in U13 age group) named players participate in each countysquad to maximise pitch time for all players. Players shall not have reached the age of U13 or U14before January 1stin their respective teams.
  1. No Performance players may play in 2nd teams.
  1. A player may only play for one squad per day, unless injury on the day reduces the squad to 11 (7) or less. The TO needs to agree this with the opposition team.
  1. If a county needs to find replacement players these should be taken from the following sources:

a) Those who attended the DCs run by that AC

b) Their associated county and not selected for AC.

c) GKs may be borrowed from other Counties

  1. Each team should have a coach and a manager assigned to it for each match as, where there are 2 teams per age group, they may be playing at the same time.THERE SHOULD BE AT LEAST ONE ADULT PER TEAM,ESPECIALLY IF THE COACH IS U18.
  1. Teams should play in their recognised county colours. Any changes to these must be given to the TO and opposition 7 days before the fixture takes place. In the event of a colour clash, the second named team to change,(socks/shirt as appropriate or bibs if no second strip).
  1. When choosing the colour for your team’s second strip, please remember that the change colour needs to be distinctive, for example white is not a suitable alternative if your first strip is a pale colour or has pale stripes, sleeves or quarters and similarly for dark colours.
  1. GKs shall wear a shirt of one colour only that does not contain any colour of the two teams. It should be numbered on the front and the back. In the interest of safety, players’ numbers (including the goalkeepers’) must not be fixed with safety pins.
  1. Blood Borne Diseases Warning - Aids, Hepatitis B

Any player sustaining an injury that bleeds or any player with an open wound MUST

leave the field of play IMMEDIATELY to receive treatment and have the wound covered.

  1. A maximum of 8(6 in U13 age group) people may sit on the bench: up to 5(3 in U13 age group) playersand up to three management personnel, one of whom must be the manager and one of whom must be responsible for first aid.
  1. Coaches and managers must remain in their designated area, during the matches.
  1. Captains, coaches and managers should be responsible for their own conduct and the conduct of their players at all times.
  1. Once the game is in progress, no-one is allowed on the field of play unless so agreed by the umpires.
  1. The length of matches will be determined by the Tournament Organiser and may vary according to the number of matches per day.
  1. Each county must provide balls suitable for use on synthetic pitches. The first namedteam must provide the match balls.
  1. PHOTOGRAPHY. To comply with Child Protection Regulations at every ERHA event, anyone wishing to take pictures or use a video should sign in with the TD and wear an appropriate badge.

Counties. – Please inform parents and carers of this rule so that they are aware that their

child may be photographed. It will be impossible for the East to ensure that players

whose parents/carers do not want them to be photographed/videoed and counties and

teams will need to make their own arrangements to take this into account.
