Thank you for your interest in our Leadership in Training program. Being an LIT at Summer Daze Camp is a challenging and rewarding experience. Your days as an LIT will be spent with a wide array of activities. It is important to understand that being an LIT is a responsibility. Be sure that you are willing and prepared to meet the challenges presented by this position. LIT’s should be highly motivated and be willing to venture outside the box, creativity will only make the leadership experience better for the applicant. LIT’s will be offered the opportunity to become certified in adult and child CPR as well as first aid (dates of class TBD but fee is waived for all campLITs). This application will help us get to know who you are so we can make the most informed decision of who to accept into the program.

Expectations of an LIT:

1.Must be willing to participate with enthusiasm; participation and enthusiasm are part of leadership.

2.Must come to camp prepared- prepared to work with staff and campers, to learn new skills, and to bring a positive attitude.

3.An LIT is a role model for campers and is held at a higher behavioral standard than campers; we expect LIT’s to be mature in their actions and words.

4.LIT’s are expected to greet campers everyday and assist with attendance procedures.

5.Engage with campers providing thoughts or assistance when it is deemed necessary.
