On behalf of theCentral Maryland Shockers, we would like to thank you for taking time from your busy schedule to consider our request for sponsorship of our youth AAU basketball program. Our mission: to empower youth to become well-rounded, productive citizens through academics, health, and community service. We currently serve the communities of Howard County, Baltimore County, Baltimore City, Anne Arundel County, and hope to build relationships within Carroll and Montgomery Counties in the near future.

The Shocker program is focused on teaching and training the fundamentals of basketball with an emphasis on preparing them for the next of level of play in high school and hopefully college. We provide year-round basketball instruction and experience for children between the ages of 8-18 and are committed to thedevelopment and empowerment of future leaders/athletes by using basketball as a tool to improve health and fitness, excel in academia, develop life skills and values, and to become well-rounded, productive citizens in society.

We also provide our players with educational resources and support such as tutors and mentors, who assist in leading our athletes to be more competitive and marketable for scholarship opportunities. By competing in high profile basketball tournaments, located in cities throughout the U.S., our teams gain valuable exposure to college coaches and recruiters, thus making scholarship opportunities available to our players. Since the Shocker start in September 2012, we have worked with and positively impacted over 90 boys and girls from the Central Maryland area and have been visible throughout Maryland, Virginia, Delaware, and Pennsylvania.

As a non-profit youth organization, we rely soley on donations from companies and generous individuals such as you. We appreciate any type of contribution to our program either monetary, or goods and services. Funds are used to pay for equipment, practice facilities, tournament fees and traveling expenses.

While we raise capital to fund our own 501c3, we currently work as a fiscal sponsored agent of Custom Steel Better Communities and have a Federal Tax Payer Id # available upon request. ALL DONATIONS ARE TAX DEDUCTABLE. We look forward to hearing from you or a representative of your company to discuss our program in detail.

The Central Maryland Shockers “Corporate Sponsors” are businesses, organizations, or individuals with a minimum sponsor contribution of $2,500 or more. This significantly offsets the participation cost for our existing members and the cost of overall operations of our program. In return for your support, Corporate Sponsors will receive the following:

·  Your business will be shown as “Title” or “Major” event sponsor at all club events, including tournaments, parties, demonstrations, media campaigns and functions for that year.

·  Your business logo will be put on our team uniform for 1-year.
