REQUEST FOR REGIONAL TRACK HOST

MEMORANDUM

TO:FHSAA School Representative, Athletic Director and Boys and Girls Track and Field Coaches of Classes 4A, 3A, 2A and 1A Schools

SUBJECT:Solicitation of 4A, 3A, 2A and A Regional Track and Field Sites for the 2012-13 Season

The FHSAA is currently in the planning stages for the 2012-13 Track and Field season, and we would like to extend the invitation to host a region meet to all our member schools.

If your school is interested in hosting a regional track and field meet for the 2012-13season:

Class 1A and 2A: April 17 - April 20, 2013

Classes 3A and 4A: April 24 – April 27, 2013

Please complete all sections including required signatures of the FHSAA representative and track coach(es), and return it to the FHSAA by the stated deadline. If you would like to have this form emailed to you in a word document, please email .

Also attach any additional information that would convince the selection committee that your site should be selected by listing such items as condition of track, spectator area, seating capacity, restaurants, hotels/motels, etc.

Note: An 8-lane metric track and a fully automatic timing system are desirable for regional sites.

Please return this form by October 31, 2012, but preferably as soon as possible. (Any requests to host received after that date may not be considered.) Please submit via email (). If you would like this application in a Word Document, please email Shanell Young at .

ADVANCEMENT PROCEDURE(Please note NFHS Rule 5-5)

800 meter run, 3200 meter run, 3200 meter relay, and 1600 meter relay will be set up as finals only
Class 1A / 2A - 400-meter dash will be set up as finals only
Please attach any notes or comments regarding the advancement procedure, and or any additional facility issues.
