State Chapter need social workers to volunteer to provide crisis mental health intervention at the Pete Marovich Center (special needs shelter) on the campus of Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, at local hospitals, and in other relief sites throughout the area; must be available immediately, be in good health, able to tolerate heat and humidity, confusion and chaos, and work in a trauma and triage settings. / yes / Interested volunteers contact the School of Social Work at the Louisiana State University (225) 578-5875 or the American Red Cross in your local area to volunteer at their shelters.
