IV. Introduction
Albagan Elementary School of Tampakan District aims to commit each pupil’s success in learning with care, responsive and safe environment that is free from harm, discrimination, violence against children committed in School. Our institution works to ensure that all pupils have the opportunity in developing their fullest potentials.
V. Scope and Limitation
This contextualized child protection policy of Albagan Elementary School of Tampakan District is intended from Kindergarten up to Grade Six level, teachers and stakeholders of the said institution.
VI. Definition of Terms
Child Abuse- The physical, sexual, or emotional maltreatment of a child or children.
Child- Is generally a human between the stages of birth and puberty. Refers to a minor otherwise known as a person younger than the age of maturity.
Protection- The state of being kept from harm.
-State of being protected.
School- An organization that provides instruction.
-an institution for the teaching of children.
Bullying- A blustering browbeating person.
-One habitually cruel to others who are weaker.
-To inflict physical or emotional harm on children.

Ø Children with poor standards of hygiene.

Ø Child not adequately supervised for their age.
Ø Unexplained or suspicious injuries.

VIII. Interventions/ Policies /Code of Conduct
Ø Ensure that the institution has child protection policy.
Ø Ensure that the institution implements the child protection policy.
Ø Ensure that the School’s child protection policy is organize and has a child protection policy at School.
Ø Conduct information dissemination at school so that pupils are aware of the child protection policy.
Ø Conduct home visitation and parent’s orientation regarding child protection policy.

X. Reporting Mechanism
The task of the School community is to protect the child’s welfare. The reporting mechanism of the School child protection committee will be done through the use of the prescribed forms provided by the Department of Education and the logbook to record the significant events in reported case/s. This implies that the details of case/s will be kept confidentially and that the records will be taking care of the School guidance coordinator.
All conversations will be recorded and should not be translated to any language to maintain the reliability of the story. No any part of the conversation will be shared to other people who have no concern about the case. This means that the school personnel protect the secrecy and honor of the child.
XI. Interventions
1. Creation of board signage’s of the rights of every child based on Presidential Decree No. 603 for public awareness to be posted on different parts of the school/barangay.
2. Conduct seminar/ workshop on the rights of a child and responsible parenthood to all the parents of Albagan Elementary School for their own welfare and awareness.
XII. Policies
1. No saying of foul or vulgar and bad words with peers.
2. Avoid exaggerated physical contacts with peers.
3. A pupil especially on the higher grade level shall not intimidate, harass, and bully other pupils through words and actions.
4. School Personnel work in an open environment (e.g. avoiding private or unobserved situations and encouraging open communication with no secrets)
5. Attend classes regularly to decrease the number of absenteeism cases.
6. Come to school on time to avoid being late.
