Role Overview:
- Provide strategic direction for netball operationsup to intermediate group level at the club.
- Manage grading, selections, match day requirements and relevant personnel development strategies at the club as required as Chair of the Match Committee.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Manage activities and meetings of the Match Committee, including acting as Chair of the Committee, to ensure the committee meets club expectations.
- Prepare a reportabout Match Committee activity for Management Committee information having regards to operational and personnel development issues associated with the playing of netball.
- Coordinate the grading and selection of players up to intermediate level using the resources of the Match Committee to maximise the effectiveness of the relevant processes.
- Manage match day requirements for playing netball using the resources of the Match Committeein liaison with relevant club officials and persons or organisations outside the club, as required.
- Facilitatethe personnel development of players, coaches, and umpires through the coordination of Match Committee activity with broader club personnel development plans.
- Attend meetings of the Management Committee as required.
- Liaise with the AMND League Coach and the High Development Performance Coach to facilitate the personnel development of athletes in accordance with club athlete development plans.
Essential:
- Current National Police check (or application in accordance with club policy).
- Previous experience in netball administration.
- Previous strategic planning experience.
- Previous leadership/management experience.

Position Summary:
The Match Committee Chair provides leadership and strategic direction to the Match Committee for operational aspects associated with grading, selection of players and match day requirements for all grades of netball at the club up intermediate level. The position is required to liaise with relevant personnel to coordinate Match Committee activities with other club functions and planning. In particular are broader plans for the personnel development of athletes, coaches and umpires to meet club and netball association requirements. The Match Committee has a role in facilitating personnel development through the management of relevant strategies at playing levels within the club. The Match Committee Chair works closely with the President, Secretary, High Performance Development Coach, Registrations Officer, Umpires Coach/Coordinator and other club officials to provide focus for the effective conduct of club business in liaison with persons inside and outside the club.
