Department Service
2012-present Member, Advisory Board, Certificate in Digital Communications and Brand Management. Working with Director Anita Helle to develop and facilitate a hybrid non-credit program that networks resources of OSU faculty and leaders in the digital business community.
2012-present Member, Development Team for Applied Journalism Minor. Working closely with SWLF Director and Student Media to explore possibilities for creating cross-disciplinary program in contemporary journalism.
2011-present Faculty Advisor to Oregon State University Public Relations Society. Duties include creating club charter, receiving official status as sponsored club, presenting and coordinating guest seminars and field trips, overseeing election of club officers, preparing participants for employment in public relations.
2005-2014 Member, Technology Committee, OSU English Department. Participated in generating TRF grant applications that have allocated more than $250,000 in moneys to facilitate computer enhanced teaching in Moreland Hall.
2005-2012 Member, Composition Committee, OSU English Department. Responsible for conducting teaching observations and filing reports on Graduate Teaching Assistants.
