  • Launch “Lead by Example” Challenge - Ask ELT members to join ACS CAN
  • Discuss a state or federal policy priority/opportunity at your meetings.
  • Promote petition signing or other advocacy activity at your meetings.
  • Make a plan for how you will integrate advocacy at your Kick-Off
  • Work with your Grassroots Manager or your Sr. Manager to order RFL ACS CAN materials for Kick-offs

January

  • Provide an ACS CAN presentation/membership ask at RFL Kick-offs

  • Highlight the new season’s advocacy materials with your ELT
  • Ask ELT to download the ACS CAN Relay App
  • Invite ELT to save the date for State Day at the Capitol

February

  • Discuss the CAN Café with your ELT– determine if your event has the capacity to host a Café
  • Set an ACS CAN member goal for your event (Will you be an ACS CAN Club event and recruit 40 members?)

March

  • Discuss a state or federal policy priority/opportunity at your meetings.
  • Promote petition signing or other advocacy activity at your meetings.
  • Work with your Grassroots Manger or Sr. Manager of RFL to order advocacy day of event materials

April

  • Finalize on-site event plans for advocacy activities

  • Thank everyone for their work integrating advocacy
  • Recognize ACS CAN Members
  • Give membership pitch – last push before event
