REINZ appoints new Education Director

REINZ is delighted to announce that it has recently appointed Kirstin Brown as the new Education Director. Kirstin will form part of REINZ’s Senior Leadership team and will report directly to Bindi Norwell, REINZ Chief Executive.

Kirstin brings significant senior management and leadership experience across a range of education providers to REINZ. Her role will see her responsible for the management of education and training within the sector and as part of her role she will be developing and managing REINZ’s Education Strategy inclusive of verifiable and non-verifiable training and various other education and training events.

She joins REINZ from Academic Colleges Group (ACG) where as a National College Director she was responsible for all strategic planning, management and operations of several colleges nationally. She was also responsible for the educational product portfolio and financial management across campuses. Prior to this, she has held senior roles at Whitireia Polytechnic and Dominion English Schools.

Commenting on her appoint Brown says: “I’m really excited about combining my education background with the real estate industry. Real estate brings some interesting and unique challenges in terms of the verifiable training which is set by the Real Estate Authority and the non-verifiable training which allows for more flexibility in terms of subject matter. I’ve already been meeting with the industry to brainstorm ideas for additional training requirements for 2018.”

Bindi Norwell, Chief Executive at REINZ says: “Education is such an important part of what we do at REINZ, so I’m really pleased to have someone of Kirstin’s calibre join the team. I’m really looking forward to offering our members even more diverse training options this year that can add value to the industry.”

Kirstin has a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration from the University of Auckland Business School, a Diploma in English language teaching from the University of Cambridge and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Canterbury.
