SUPPLEMENTARYREGULATIONS
1. ANNOUNCEMENT.TheHillclimbandSprintAssociationwillorganiseaNational‘B’Sprint
at Curborough,near Lichfield,Staffs,onSaturdayOctober8th2016.
2. THEMEETING.ThemeetingwillbeheldundertheGeneralRegulationsoftheMotorSports Association(incorporatingtheprovisionsoftheInternationalSportingCodeoftheFIA),these regulationsandanywritteninstructionstheorganisingclubmayissue.
3. LICENCE.ThetracklicenceisheldbytheShenstoneandDistrictCarClub
4. COURSE.Thetarmaccoursewill bethe‘shortcourse’of 1lap, 900yardsin length.
5. PERMITS.TheMSApermitnumber95734 has been issued to the HSA.
6. PERSONSELIGIBLE.Thiseventisopentoallcompetitorswhoaremembersoftheorganising club,invitedclubsandinvitedchampionships,holdingaNationalBorhighergradeof MSA competition licence.Allcompetitorsmustdeclaretheirlicencetypeandlicencenumberontheentryformand producethe relevantdocumentsandclubmembershipcardswhensigningon,priortopractice.

8. ENTRIES.EntriesopenuponpublicationoftheseSupplementaryRegulationsand
willcloseon September 27th 2016. Themaximumnumberofentrieswillbe100andthe minimum willbe50. The HSA reserves the right to cancel the meeting if the minimum number of entries is not achieved.
Entryfees are£85forHSAmembersand£90for allothercompetitors.
Entrieswillbeacceptedafterthe closingdateifplacesareavailable,butwillbesubjecttoalate entrysurchargeof £5. Entriesmaybemadeon-lineorbypost.
Chequessentbymailshouldbemadepayabletothe HillclimbandSprintAssociationLtd.

NoiseChecksAnoisechecktoMSAregulations[G.10.2.2 & J.5.17 inc Appendix 1]willbecarriedoutandthosecarsoverthelimitmaybe excluded.Itisnowastandardrequirementof allMotorSportVenuesthatNoiseTestingiscarried outbeforethestartofpracticeruns.Failuretocomplywiththeallowedlimitsmayresultinexclusion fromtheevent.
TyresVehicles in ClassNmay only use tyres inList1A, 1B or 1C.
TheuseofslicktyresisprohibitedinClassesW andW3.
Roll CagesWhere MSA regulations require a Roll Over Protection System to be fitted, your attention is drawn to MSA reg K.1.5.1/1.5.2
CamerasIf acameraisfittedtothecar,pleasecheck/ticktheboxontheentryformandinformtheScrutineer,so thatitssafeinstallationcanbechecked.
VehicleswithspaceframechassisareexcludedfromClassesC1,C2andC3.
FormulaFord1600vehiclesinClassesJ1andX mustcomplywiththeTechnicalRegulations publishedbythe FordMotorCo.fortheFormula.

Inthe eventoflessthan4 entriesinanyclasstheorganisersreservetherighttoamalgamateclasses.
10.NONSTARTERS.Inthe eventofcancellationbyacompetitorthenrefundsaredue asfollows, subjecttotheEntriesSecretarybeingnotifiedinwriting:
Uptotheclosing date for entries–fullrefundless£10administrationcharge.
After the closing date for entries, but prior to the day of the event–fullrefundless£25
On the day of the event, or later – a 50% refund, on application to the Entries Secretary.
11.COMPETITIONNUMBERS.Vehicleswillbeidentifiedbycompetitionnumbersallocatedbythe organisersand confirmedinthefinalinstructions.Numbersmustbeaffixedtobothsidesofthecar inaccordancewithsection J.4.1ofthe2016MSAYearBook.Numberswill NOT beavailablefromthe organizers. Numbersmust not be shown oncarsthat aredrivenon thepublichighway beforeand/orafterthe event.Failuretocomplymayresultinexclusionfromtheevent.
12.PROGRAMME. Signing-on will be available from 8 a.m..
Anycompetitornot signedonby11.00a.m. maybeexcludedunlesspriorpermissionhasbeengranted.
There will be a Driver’s briefing at 9am.
Practice to commence from 9.30am.
Thetiming of thecompetitionwillbeconfirmedintheFinal Instructions.
13.TYREWARMING.Theuseofanyexternaldeviceorpowersourcetopre-heatthetyresof a competingcar,whetherthetyresarefittedtothecarornot,isprohibited.Thisdoesnotaffectthe rightof competitorstospinthewheelstocleanandinduceheatintothetyresintheareadesignated forthatpurpose,i.e.priortothestartlineandasindicatedbythestartlineofficials.Forward progressmustbemaintained.Spinningwheelsoutsidethedesignatedareamayresultinexclusion fromtheevent.
14.PRACTICE.Allcompetitorswillhavethechancetowalkthecourseintheirowntimebeforethe startofpracticeand atthediscretionoftheClerkoftheCourseduringthelunchbreak.Thecourse mustbecleared15minutesbeforethestartofpractice and the event.
Theprocedureforpracticewillbeinprogrammeorderwhereverpossibleandwillbeconfirmedin theFinalInstructions.Allcompetitorsmustcompleteatleastonepracticerun.Twopracticeruns(3 iftimeisavailable)willbeheldunlessforcemajeurelimitstheorganiserstoone.
Anycompetitordrivingthecoursewithoutpermissionoutsidetheeventwillbeliableforexclusion.
15.STARTPROCEDURE.Carswillstartsinglyand atintervals.Thestartingsignalisaredlight followedbyagreenlight.Themethodoftimingiselectronicbybreakinga lightbeamatthestart andatthefinish.
16.REDFLAG.If amarshaldisplaysaredflagwhilstyouareonthecourse youshouldcometoa SAFESTOPASSOONASPOSSIBLEandawaitfurtherinstructions.
17.EVENT.Theeventwillcommenceonthe completionofpracticeandwill consistoftwotimedruns withthebesttoaccountforawards.Timepermittinga‘classwinnersrun-off’willheldafterthe completionoftimedruns.
18.FINISHPROCEDURE.Thefinishlinewillbeindicatedbychequeredboards.Oncompletionofyourrunfollowthedirectionstoreturntothepaddock.Pleasedriveslowlywhenreturningtothepaddock astheremaybe othercarsorpedestriansontheroad. Itisrecommendedthatcompetitorsinopen vehiclesdonotremovehelmetsorsafetygearforthereturn.Practicestartsarenotallowedbetween the finishlineandthepaddock.
19.RESULTS.Timeswillbedisplayedinthepaddock.Printedresultswillbepostedontheorganiser’s websitewithinthreedays.ProtestsmustbelodgedaccordingtoMSAregulations.

21.MISCELLANEOUSAnycompetitordrivinganonroad-legalcaralongthepublichighway maybeexcludedatthediscretionoftheClerkoftheCourse. No competing car and/or competitor may leave the site during the event without the permission of the Clerk of Course.
22.CATERING.Onsitecatering (by Pam Mayo) willbeavailablebutcompetitorsareremindedthat theMSAempowersthe ClerkoftheCoursetoauthoriseaMedicalOfficertoconductspotchecksonanydrivertoascertain whetherdrugsoralcoholhavebeenconsumed.
