REGISTRATION FOR INCOMING ERASMUS AND GLOBUS STUDENTS
ACADEMIC YEAR 2014– 2015
Application deadlines for incoming ERASMUS AND GLOBUS students
- For the autumn semester: 31 May (or the following Monday if the 31 May is during a weekend).
- For the spring semester: 1 November (or the following Monday if the 1 November is during a weekend).
Any applications received after this date will not be considered.
Nominations
As you will be aware, each student will need to be formally nominated by their university. When nominating your student, please forward the following information to us ():
- Full name of student.
- Degree of study and level.
- Email address.
- Start date and whether it’s for one semester or a full year.
Please note that the application form and supporting documents must be received by the deadline so that we can process the application as soon as possible.
Students must then fill in the following forms:
/ 1.1Application form ERASMUS + students.
1.2Application form GLOBUS students.
/ 2.Exchange Arrivalform.
/ 3.Pre-registration form for Italian language courses (optional)
/ 4.Transcript of Records- paper copy.
/ 5.ECTS Learning Agreement - paper copy.
To complete the application form, students mustfill in the forms and and send them by post toISMOKA Office.
After having filled in and sent the Application Form, students will receive an acknowledgement of receipt from the ISMOKA Office in Cagliari.
The ISMOKA Officewill send a NOTICE OF ACCEPTANCE, via post to the student, ONLY after having received all the documents correctly filled in (Application Form, Pre-registration form for the Italian language course (optional), declaration issued by the Home University, ECTS Learning Agreement, Transcript of Academic Records, copy of Identity Card o passport and copy of the European Health Card).
International Welcome Week
The Welcome Week will take place at the end of September for the first semester students and a the beginning of March for the second semester students. Students will be able to check into their accommodation on the Saturday/Sunday before the Welcome Week. Further details about the Welcome Week will appear on our website later in the year. Students will also receive information on this in their offer pack.

Christmas break is two weeks long, one before and another after Christmas. Easter break is one week long.

LONG TERM ACCOMODATION IN CAGLIARI
On your arrival in Cagliari you will need to find accommodation. Here are a few websites that might help you in your search:
You can also buy ‘Il Baratto’ a newspaper of advertisements for €1.50. If you are still having problems finding a place to stay you can ask the ESN staff for help.
For temporary accommodation, we advise students to look for hostels or B&Bs, this is the cheapest accommodation available. Information and contact numbers can be easily found on the internet. However, if you prefer something more comfortable with greater services you can find a wide range of hotels of all categories in and around the town.

If you still find difficulties in looking for a place to stay, when you are here in Cagliari our Student Associations will be happy to help you with that, as well as helping you with the Italian burocracy. You will meet them during the Registration Day or you can contact them at the email:
In the mean time, if you need temporary accommodation and you are looking for a hostel, the Hostel Marina ( ) offers discounts for Erasmus students, the only thing you have to do is to show your acceptance letter of the University of Cagliari when checking in.
Enrolment to Exams
Your Learning Agreement will be finalised during your registration here in Cagliari. Please be aware that we can not guarantee that your choices will be available to you. You must undertake a full time course load during your exchange period at Cagliari University but it is mandatory that you enrol in courses for a total amount of ECTS credits between 45 and 60.

Our students who are just back from their ERASMUS experience all over Europe will volunteer to help you getting used to our lifestyle and to sort out practical problems. You will meet them after the registration day. They deal with all the accommodation related problems and they will help you to find accommodation once you get in Cagliari.
