Registration

·  Registration always begins on Monday of the first full week in April and in November.

·  Register at your assigned appointment time so that you have the best options for choosing open classes.

·  Remember you must have your advisor release your registration hold before you can register.

·  All financial holds (parking/library fines) must be cleared from your account before you can register.

Enrollment Information

Cancelling

·  Happens BEFORE a term begins.

·  Students can do this via E-Hive.

·  Cancelled courses Do NOT show on the transcript.

Drop/Add

·  Happens the first TEN days of each term.

·  Students can DROP courses via E-Hive for the entire 10 days.

·  Students can ADD courses via E-Hive for the first FIVE days; from the 6th to the 10th day Instructor’s signatures is required on Drop/Add form; beginning the 11th day students must submit a Petition form requesting to add a class.

·  Courses dropped do NOT show on the transcript.

·  Fee for dropping is $20 beginning the 11th day of the term.

·  Fee for adding a class ($20) is not charged until the Monday of the week before Final Exams.

Withdraw (dropping with a W grade) from a single course

·  Happens from the 11th day to the 60% day of the term.

·  Students must bring drop form to the Registrar’s office for processing.

·  Courses show with a W grade on the transcript.

·  The fee for withdrawing is $20.

·  Withdrawn classes still count toward the Plateau.

Total Withdrawal (dropping all courses for a term)

·  Happens from the 1st day to the 60% day of the term.

·  Students must bring a Total Withdrawal form to the Registrar’s Office for processing.

·  Courses show with a W grade on the transcript IF processed after the 10th day.

o  If processed from the 1st through the 10th day courses do not show in transcript.

·  Fee is $50 if done before the 10th day of a term; no fee from the 11th day to the 60% day.

After the 60% day of the term, students are assigned whatever grade they have earned, (F’s assigned).

·  All policies that have been written or revised since Fall term 2010 are listed on the Registrar’s site under the Policy link.

·  All forms for the Registrar’s office are listed on our site under the Forms link.

Transcripts

·  Students can print unofficial transcript via E-Hive.

·  To have official transcripts sent, you must complete a form (on the Registrar’s site), sign the form and submit the fee before your request will be processed.

·  Your signature is requested EVERY TIME you request a transcript to be sent, you cannot send another person to request your transcript be sent.

Required Graduation Term – be sure you monitor this; it must always be kept up to date BY THE STUDENT in E-Hive.

Data Privacy (FERPA)

·  The Family Education Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 gives students the right to view their educational records (with proper notice) and it protects you from having your non-directory information released. Non-directory information is such things as class schedule, grades, GPA, gender, citizenship and more. Read the policy SP 1201 located under the Policy link on the Registrar’s website. Students can restrict all information from being released, or can choose to have non-directory information released by completing a form available under the forms link on the Registrar’s website.
