A02 FINANCE TRAINING PROGRAM
PLANNING AND FINANCE COMPONENT
OUTCOME: To work with A02s and develop their capacity to undertake the financial component of a BSM role in a school. New BSMs may also wish to attend.
PREVIOUS WORK HISTORY: This program assumes that A02s have already been working in schools and have a general knowledge of how schools work. However, it is not necessary to have a prior knowledge of finance and planning strategies.
SUGGESTED STRATEGIES TO DEVELOP CAPACITY:
- Attend A02 training sessions
- Work with regional staff as necessary
- Work with principal, BSM and admin team at school
- Be trained in OneSchool by using the methods currently available i.e. on the job training, webinars, on-line help
- Work shadow other BSMs
WORK SHADOWING OUTCOMES:
- To ascertain an idea of what the role encompasses on a day-to-day basis.
- To work with a variety of BSMs from A03 upwards.
