Perform scholarly activities, including recent collaborative research with UCDMC on projects including “the effect of omega-3 fatty acids on PCOS,” through a NIH grant, “the effect of whey protein on PCOS,” through a grant from Glanbia foods, and collaborative research with the Department of Kinesiology and El Dorado High School District on implementing health education through the high school curriculum to combat childhood obesity funded through 2 Carol White Grants from the Department of Education through 2004-2007 and 2007-2010 each over $660,000 .
