Sunday 17th June 2018 – 11.00 am to 4.00pm (Registration from 10.00 am)

Special Olympics Suffolk together with host club Orwell Panthers Athletics Club invites junior (at least 8 years on the day)and adult athleteswith an intellectual (learning) disability,to take part in Suffolk’s fourth Special Olympics Athletics Competition.

An open pan disability competition will be organised on the day in parallel with the Special Olympics competition – Please see separate Entry Form

The events in the Special Olympics competition, which will include a choice within running, jumping and throwing are:Track events at 50m (less able), 100m, 200m, 400m& the following Field events, standing or running long jump, shot or softball throw and turbo javelin

Athletes taking part in the 50m may not take part in the 100m or greater distances and have entry performances greater than 12 secs for females and 11 secs for males

Entry performances for Softball must be less than 20m for females and 24m for males.

Each athlete will be restricted to 3 events with a maximum of 2 from either track or field. Banding/divisioning will take place after entries are received – awards will only be made subject to there being at least 3 athletes in each division.
