Regional Learning & Development Qualifications & Assessment Officer(3 Vacancies; one at each Force)

East Midlands Collaborative HR Services – Learning and Development is an exciting new regional service providing learning and development solutions to 4 Police Services in the region. As a learning and development professional you will have experience, ability and a passion for working in a complex and challenging environment, providing pragmatic solutions and delivering tangible outcomes.

Based: Either at Leicestershire Police, Northamptonshire Police and Derbyshire Police

Hours:37 hours per week

Salary:SO1 (£26,394 - £28,107) per annum

The Role: Responsible for the assessment and internal verification of police officers and police staff. To co-ordinate the management of a qualifications and assessment framework on behalf of the region. To implement any new qualifications as required.

Essential Criteria:

1. D32 & D 33, A1 assessors awards (or equivalent e.g. AIA award)

2. Demonstrate substantial experience in structured work based assessment and L&D evaluation methodology.

3. Demonstrate experience of having direct liaison with relevant external bodies, e.g. NTOs, awarding bodies, SfJ.

4. Demonstrate experience of co-ordinating, implementing and managing assessment and professional study/qualification frameworks in a multi-functional and multi-site organisation.

5. Demonstrate ability to analyse and manage data, prepare and present high quality complex reports.

6. Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively and to a variety of audiences.

7. Demonstrate the ability to work to own initiative and manage projects in an effective manner.

8. Demonstrate an understanding of diversity issues.

9. Demonstrate ability to constructively challenge existing practices.

10. Demonstrate a working knowledge of competency and qualification/accreditation frameworks.

11. Hold a full driving licence and have use of own vehicle for work purposes (reasonable adjustments considered under the Equality Act 2010).
