oThe Regional Director shall be elected bi-annually by the representatives of the member colleges within that region in accordance with the procedures set forth in the bylaws.

• The Regional Director shall be a member of the professional staff of a college which is a member of the NJCAA, or a person who has been hired and/or elected by the member college within a region to represent their interests.
• The Regional Director shall have experience in athletics, either as a coach or administrator
• A new candidate for the position of Regional Director, prior to the election, shall file with the current Region Director (or designee) a letter from his/her college president approving his/her candidacy.

Region Director Job Responsibilities

Oversee the daily operations of a 32 member NJCAA Region

Preside at all Region meetings, prepare agenda and coordinate special functions (i.e., Region Dinner)

Attend NJCAA national meeting(s)

Coordinate All-American voting for the Region for various sports

Oversee officiating contracts for all Region sports

Serve as liaison with all central assignors

Prepare detailed Dates and Sites calendar for region membership

Ensure accuracy of sports codes, bylaws and other Region documents

Work in conjunction with Executive Committee to manage growth
