VISAA Goals for 2016-2017:
Identify firm and what we want from a financial review of the Association
Gather information on recruiting and inducement, reclassification and financial aid to guide discussion and decisions on eligibility rules
Enhance fiscal responsibilities through increased fundraising efforts and additional sources of revenue
Examine the structure of the Executive Committee to possibly include at-large representatives (no more than two), as well consider adding regional alternates
Establish a sub-committee of the EC (to be appointed by the Executive Chair) to develop a succession plan for the next Executive Director
VISAA Branding statement:

Upload your video to YouTube and then email the link to: VISAA Executive Director
Videos must be submitted no later than noon on Wednesday January 16, 2017. The VISAA will create a YouTube playlist highlighting all of the videos.
After all the videos have been posted on Thursday, January 13, 2017, the staff and Officers of the VISAA will choose the top 6 Finalist which will include at least one school from each of the Divisions of the State

Union Cup: Tommy Yevak- (HRA)
Gained a commitment from the Math Dept. Head at Trinity to run the calculations for this program. She (Charlotte Cox-Morris) agreed with me that it would be a great project for either her Stats class or her Math club. BTW, Charlotte is an HRA alumna and daughter of former HRA Headmaster, Dr. Bob Cox......
I've also gotten Gene Arcand here at HRA to have his Computer Programming class to do the Excel calculations as well. It would be good to have two separate entities running the scoring calculation as an independent check and balance so to speak

Strategic Plan 2016-2020:
Finances –
meet with representatives from Davenport & Company; Decide on growth plan for 2016-2017;
Recommend keeping admission prices the same for this cycle;
recommend not to charge entries fee for tournaments (wrestling and swimming &diving);
Recommend not to develop a pass policy for other school teams to go to see other school teams play in tournament events
Approval of firm to do financial review of Association (What do we want from review?)
Operation-
Recommend approving Bob Miller as the new Assistant Executive Director;
Recommend approving Dr. C. Michael Dicken- Veritas School- Assistant Treasurer;
review responsibilities and exceptions of Executive Committee representatives;
Review protocol for appointing a new Executive Committee.
Recommendation is for Executive Chair to appoint a committee to develop the protocol;
Programs-
Review/establish guidelines for filling vacancies on sports committees (go to go now); Recommend an asst. Sports Chair assistant; Liaison, Chair and asst. chair being the same person)
Explore the establishment an award program for schools to present to their three sports participants in VISAA sports (by a certificate and website recognition,
Review established professional development programs to ensure they are inclusive of core values of the organization
Explore ways to increase athletic administrator’s national certification. (send to conference chairs) Send list to EC of CAA’s by region)
Look to increase more coaches’ national certification (starting with football coaches and USA football); [get list for sports chairs]
Review current guidelines/ format for hosting state championship events
