Gina Soliz, Acting Chair, opened the meeting at 10:20 and thanked CCC for hosting and Nancy Teodecki for arranging the site.
EXEC COUNCIL UPDATE - Gina Soliz
· The next meeting is June 18, 19 and 20 at the Craftsman Inn.
· Anyone can attend the meetings.
TREASURY REPORT – Pat Johnson
· The current balance is $3,402.46
· The revenue sharing from last June and January and support staff workshop reimbursements have finally been received.
· There is one outstanding bill to Lemoyne College.
STATE UPDATE - Dawn Langdon
· June 2, IVP (income verification) for 2008-09 will be initiated; accordingly IVP will no longer per performed for 2007-08.
· June 4 the first summer roster for 2008-09 will be created.
· June 6, the first round of post budget/post IVP e-mails will be sent to students letting them know about their “official” pre-certification TAP awards.
· June 6, the postcard mailing to students who are approved for 2008-09 but have no e-mail address on file with HESC will be sent.
· The 2008-09 change form is now available on the Web. Students can access the form with their HescID and PIN.
· The Residence Review Questionnaire has been updated and is also available on the Web.
REGIONAL BUSINESS
CONFERENCE 2008 – Bill Cheetham
· Everything is moving forward nicely. You can still volunteer.
· The Keynote speaker will be Kathleen Smith, Washington insider.
· Mark Greenfield from UB will do a presentation on electronic communication.
· There will be 2 exhibit areas, one for lenders and one for non-lenders.
REGION 3 ELECTIONS – Annette Broski
The Region 3 Chair and Exec Council Rep positions need to be filled for the coming year to finish out the current term. If you are interested or want to nominate someone, please contact Annette or Gina.

COLLEGE GOAL SUNDAY
LaSonya Griggs has bracelets for anyone who worked. E-mail her and she will get you one.
After a short break, Gina introduced Heather McDonnell, NYSFAAA President, and Curt Gaume, President-Elect.
They spoke about a variety of topics, including SLATE, the financial status of NYSFAAA, and the importance of continued training. They encouraged the group to keep volunteering and going out into the community to carry on the spirit of NYSFAAA.
The meeting adjourned at 12:00 noon.
