An “A” drawing used correct one point perspective. All orthogonal lines are hitting the Vanishing Point. Doors, windows, etc. are drawn correctly. A ruler was used for every line drawn. Craftsmanship is superior: no eraser marks, stray marks, line work is neat, clean and clear. No smudges or tears. There is a refined and sophisticated understanding and application of media. Guidelines are erased. The student challenged him/herself with their chosen building/outdoor scene and went above and beyond project requirements. The work is complete, handed in on time with the rubric. The student followed directions and worked hard each day the entire class period.

A “B” drawing used correct one point perspective. Most orthogonal lines are hitting the Vanishing Point. Doors, windows, etc. are drawn correctly with minimal mistakes. A ruler was used for almost every line drawn. Craftsmanship is above average: no eraser marks, stray marks, line work is neat, clean and clear. No smudges or tears. There is an understanding and good application of media. Guidelines are erased. The student challenged him/herself with their chosen building, but with a little bit more effort the drawing could have been outstanding. The work is complete, handed in on time with the rubric. The student followed directions and usually works hard each day for the entire class period.

A “C” drawing used 1 or 2 pt. perspective. There are a few orthogonal lines that are not hitting the Vanishing Point. Doors, windows, etc. are drawn correctly with a few mistakes. A ruler wasn’t always used when drawing a line. Craftsmanship is average: some eraser marks, stray marks, line work is fair. A few smudges or tears. There is some understanding and an average application of media. Guidelines are mostly erased. The student somewhat challenged him/herself with their chosen building. The work is complete, handed in on time with the rubric. The student followed some directions, but will waste time during class.

A “D” drawing used 1 or 2 pt. perspective. Hardly side parallel lines are not hitting the correct V.P.’s; Doorway, tables, cabinets, floors, etc. are drawn incorrectly. A ruler was often not used to draw the lines. Craftsmanship is below average: there are eraser marks, stray marks, & line work is poor. Several smudges &/or tears. There is little understanding and a below average application of media. Guidelines are not erased. The student didn’t challenge him/herself with their chosen building. The work is incomplete. The student followed few directions, and frequently wastes time during class.

A “F’ drawing is not finished or adheres to none of the project requirements.
