Suiseki exhibition

Dear Suiseki friends,

Next year you will have the possibility to exhibit on behalf of ESA one or two suiseki at the prestigious Noelanders Trophy which will be held on 4th and 5th February 2017 at the Limburghal, a congress center in Genk, Belgium. You can find more information under In addition, there is a special website for the event under

Deadline for application is

15th November 2016.

You should send your application to the address of Gudrun Benz by e-mail (preferably) or by post mail. Afterwards a jury of the organizer will do a selection of the stones. A notice of participation will be sent out after

15th December 2016.

The set-up of the exhibition is on Friday, February 3, 2017 at 10.00 to 16.00 h. Suiseki can only be taken away on Sunday, after 18.00 h.

All suiseki will be photographed before the set-up respectively the opening of the exhibition.

The opening ceremony for exhibitors is on Friday evening at 18 h (free of costs for exhibitors).

Please do you hotel room reservation in time. At the website of Bonsai Association Belgium you can find some suggestions for it.

Send in your registration together with pictures of all Suiseki to G. Benz, preferably by email. Only Suiseki of which a picture has been sent in, can participate in the Trophy/ESA exhibition if they are selected by the committee. Selection is based on the mailed pictures. The selection will be also determined on a first come first served basis. You will be informed until the end of December if you Suiseki were accepted to participate in the exhibition.

One row (= 30 m) will be at disposal of ESA Suiseki exhibition, and about 1 m for each display. The tables are all 90 cm high. The background doesn’t allow large scrolls. For aesthetic reasons only some displays can be decorated with scroll and after approval at the site.
