Activities

1.  Write a letter to Winter Rabbit thanking him for coming to play.

2.  Write an invitation to Winter Rabbit to come and play again next year.

3.  Draw a picture of Winter Rabbit and all his friends sliding down the hill.
4.  Draw a picture of all the friends having a snowball fight.
Introduction

1.  Bring in a stuffed white rabbit and ask the children if they think it might be a winter rabbit. Have them explain what they think a winter rabbit might be. “Today we are going to read about a winter rabbit and its adventures. Let’s see what happens.”

2.  Make a snowball out of paper and ask the children what you could do with a snowball. Ask if they have ever been in a snowball fight. “Today we are going to read about some friends and their snowball fight.”

3.  Have a snowman made out of construction paper on the desk for the children to put together. Ask them if they have ever mad a real snowman out of snow. “In today’s story two friends make a special snowman. Let’s see what kind it is.”
