A Recruiting Conversation Guideline

Answering Machine Conversation: “Hey ______, it is Michelle…I met you at Suzie Q’s party and told you that I would be giving you a call back this evening. I know you probably got a bit busy…but I will be making some calls again on Tuesday evening between 7-8. I will call you back then…if that is not a good time for you…give me a call and let me know when the best time to reach you would be…

Thanks, ______! If I don’t hear back from you otherwise…I am really looking forward to speaking with you on Tuesday evening!!!

When you finally get her/him:

Build Rapport

Tell me about yourself…

How it is: kids, husband, job, schedule…

How it should be: $$$, time, family…

What would hold you back from trying something

like this?

LISTEN…don’t resolve yet

Transition (now it is your turn):

based on everything that I am hearing from you…I really believe that Tupperware would be a perfect fit in your life…let me tell you why…

Sell it!!! Use info gathered in the beginning of conversation to personalize your message and appeal directly to her needs!

Check Yourself: all of that being said…now can you think of anything that would keep you from giving Tupperware a try?

Reassure: Feel…Felt …Found…

Close it!: Use a great closer: “I know sometimes that it is hard to make a decision to try something new…no matter how great it sounds…so here’s what I think we should do now…

Let’s go ahead and order a starter kit for you…you can test drive us for a few weeks…then you can make your decision as to whether or not this is a good fit for you.

Which kit do you prefer?
