Innovative new developments afford compressor manufacturer renewed growth

With an annual turnover of130 million euros, the Germancompressor manufacturerBOGElooks back with satisfaction on the past year.The newHighSpeedTurbo compressor in particular met with an impressive resonance at its world première at the Hannover Messe trade fair. The crowning glory was when it was awarded an Innovation Prize forits newly developedHighSpeedTurbo technology at the end of the year. This prize is awarded in the extremely strong industrial region where BOGE is based and is an accolade for major technological innovations.

Infiscal2015,BOGECompressorsrecorded a turnover of 130millioneuros,topping the previous year’s turnover by some10million euros.The company again displays significantly stronger growth than the German industry average. Over the previous four years, BOGE was able to increase its turnover overall by around 30 percent.This company growth is also reflected in the size of the workforce:A total of50 new members of staff were taken on by BOGEin2015at its headquarters in Germany as well as at BOGE KomponentenGmbHin Saxonyand its14subsidiaries worldwide.The company now employs some 750people in total.

Strong resonance to newHighSpeedTurbo technology

One reason for the success of BOGE liesin the powerful innovative force of its products and services. BOGE ploughed extensive resources into the development of its newHighSpeedTurbo (HST) technology.Thanks to its high-efficiency compression principle and minimum energy use, the new technology has achieved results that were previously regarded as unattainable, not just in boosting efficiency but also in effecting decisive improvements that have successfully advanced the current state of the art. The award of a regional Innovation Prize for HST technology in the category ‘Industry and Trades’ marked an occasion for celebration at the end of the year. The jurybased its decision in part on the high degree of technical innovation and the great market potential.

Optimised product portfolio thanks to continual further development

In2015,BOGEalso developed the new whisper-quiet scroll compressors in the BOGE EO series for use in sensitive applications. Already proven products such as BOGE piston compressors, screw compressors and airends underwent further optimisation and were able to attain high sales figures. For 2016 and the following years, BOGE is looking to sustain significant additional growth in its turnover. The company is aiming for an ambitious sales target of 200 million euros by the year 2020.
