Recommendation for Criminal Law matters

I recommend the applicant for accreditation to participate in the Private Duty Lawyer Scheme for criminal law matters. I am satisfied that the applicant meets the criteria for accreditation as follows:
The applicant meets the following mandatory requirement for accreditation:
The applicant has, in the last 12 months, gained a minimum of two Continuing Professional Development (CPD) points on criminal law matters
The applicant also meets at least one of the following criteria
for the Magistrates’ Court / (if applicable) the applicant also meets the following criteria for Children’s Court accreditation
The applicant has attended court observing and appearing under the supervision of an experienced duty lawyer in a sufficient number of criminal law cases to enable them to competently perform the functions of a duty lawyer / and / 50% of the applicant’s court attendances have been in the Children’s Court
The applicant has, in the past two years, appeared in a minimum of 50 criminal law cases in the Magistrates’ Court in which the police were the other party. The applicant has also completed a duty lawyer orientation session and is familiar with the role and associated procedures / and / 50% of the applicant’s court attendances have been in the Children’s Court
The applicant has gained substantial relevant experience as an advocate in criminal law cases. The applicant has also completed a duty lawyer orientation session and is familiar with the role and associated procedures / and / The applicant’s experience as an advocate includes substantial experience in the Children’s Court

Recommendation for Intervention Order matters

I recommend the applicant for accreditation to participate in the Private Duty Lawyer Scheme for intervention order matters. I am satisfied that the applicant meets the criteria for accreditation as follows:
Select the following as a mandatory requirement for accreditation:
The applicant has, in the last 12 months, gained a minimum of two Continuing Professional Development (CPD) points on intervention order matters
The applicant also meets at least one of the following criteria
