RPL[1] Relevant Vocational and Work Experience

(including voluntary work)

All applicants for the Higher Certificate in Supervisory and HR Practiceshould use this form to demonstrate their previous vocational and work experience, formal courses taken, informal learning events and any other relevant sources.

Please note that your application for the programme must include this form as well as the standard University of Limerick application form.

Mature applicants should provide details of the vocational and work experience they wish to be considered as part of their application.

All other applicants should provide details of their 3 years work experience. This can be accumulated over different time periods.Applicants can also detail any formal or informal learning experiences such as formal certified courses, in company training and development initiatives, personal development courses, or general interest courses/seminars/events which the applicant feels will support their application.

Applicants are requested to provide a letter from a current or most recent employer (and/or voluntary organisations) attesting that the applicant is employed/has worked for them and indicating what position they have held. The letter should also include a short resume of duties.

Applicants should also provide full contact details of all other employers listed on the form.

Applicants may be interviewed at the discretion of the Course Leader. The Course Leader will decide on all applications. Any appeal against the decision of the Course Leader must be made to the Dean of the KemmyBusinessSchool, whose decision is final.

Formal and informal learning experiences

Relevant formal and informal courses and learning events relevant to your application other than those listed in the standard UL application form that you feel will support your application
These can be in company training courses, external general interest courses as well as external courses relating to management, life skills or personal development. Please indicate what you learned from such events and how they contribute to and support your application. Examples of personal learning outcomes would include time management skills, study skills, assertiveness, confidence, numeracy, writing skills, knowledge in particular subject areas, team skills, negotiation skills and so on.
