Collegiate 4-H Meeting

March 10, 2011

Rebecca Getts called the meeting to order.

Jordan gave the American Pledge. Alexis Zobel gave the 4-H pledge.

Secretary’s minutes were sent out via email. There were no additions or corrections; minutes stood as sent out.

Treasurer’s report: We currently have about $5300 in our account, however we have several forms/bills in transit.

Ag Council Report (Meg): at the last meeting, they discussed how the Leader’s Retreat went and announced the FSBIT (for small but important things) grant, the application is due March 25th. Ag Council is also redoing the point system.

Old Business:

 Club dues: talk to Tyler if you are unsure where you stand. If you are a graduating senior and have not paid dues, you will not receive a senior send-off gift at the Awards Banquet. You also must be a paying member in order to vote or run for an office

 Club t-shirts: they have been made and will be available the Monday after Spring Break in AGAD226, or at the next meeting. They are sapphire blue and $5 each. Plenty of extra shirts.

 Horse/Hippology bowl, March 25-26: talk to Steve if you are interested; time slots are available on Doodle poll (Fri @ 6-8pm or Saturday 8am-4pm?); people are needed that have horse experience and no horse experience

 Murdock Report (Aaron): Next week (after SB) they will be making electric projects

 Lafayette Operation: Military Kids activity: March 12, send Becca an email if interested

New Business:

 Bowling with IAAE, March 24th, 6-8pm in the Union: If you want to go, you only have to pay for shoes ($2)! ACT and PYF are also joining!

 Banquet: APRIL 19th. Location: yet to be determined, Bruno’s is first choice, Ross will call and check

 Elections: April 14th – pick up intent to run form. If you have questions, email any officer!

 Intramural Softball: Games will be on Tuesday nights at 11pm, starting the Tuesday after SB, email Ross if interested!

 Spring Fest Sign Up Sheets – sent around, talk to Sam if you missed the meeting

 BGR Recruiting – Aug 16th, 11am-1pm – Sam moved to pay $30 and set up a booth, Tyler seconded, motion passed. Alli Harris will be there if you want to join her
