Dear «Saluation»
Re: Welcome to Springwest Academy
We are delighted that «Forename»has been allocated a place at Springwest. In recent years we know that the pressure on school places has been an issue and not every child has been offered a school they have chosen as their first choice. If you have not had the chance to come and see us at Springwest, we would very much like you to come and meet us and have a tour of the school. You can meet students and staff and see the academy hard at work. If you contact Reception using the above details we will be more than happy to arrange this.
We are incredibly proud of our academy and our community. We are proud of our happy students and staff, both of whom work together to achieve excellent results. As part of Tudor Park Education Trust our academy benefits from being in a strong partnership with Logic Studio School as well as with other local schools. Springwest students thrive during their time here and visitors frequently comment on students’ outstanding manners and behaviour. We expectand give the very best education to every child. The academy’s core set of traditional values ensure every student develops into a confident, successful and happy young adult, ready to face the future.
Our very recent Ofsted in January confirmed that we remain a good school. Students ‘behave well’ and make the most of the learning opportunities. Students feel safe and valued by all the staff. However much of what we offer is truly outstanding. Our GCSE results in August 2018 showed the outstanding progress that students make across a range of subjects especially in Maths. And in English more students at Springwest achieved the top Grade 9 than nationally. However our staff know that academic achievement is only one part of success. At Springwest we have so much going on from competitions, trips, presentations, ‘Red Days’ and numerous sporting and creative opportunities for all students. Please visit our website at to find out more, or follow us at Twitter on @SpringwestA.
We are really excited about the chance to work in close partnership with you over the next 7 years. We will be in touch again shortly to send you some key information, including an invitation to come in on either the early evening of Tuesday22nd May or 5th June. This is when we ask families to meet a member of the senior leadership team for a brief and informal Welcome Interview. A couple of other key dates are:NVR Testing morning on Saturday 16th June, Information Evening for Y6 parents and carers on Monday 2nd July and finally Induction Day on Tuesday 3rd Julyfor all Y6 pupils.
Yours sincerely
Mariella Wilson
