Introduction of fundraiser and talking points to share with your class. Your class will only be as motivated as you are about the event, so it’s important that you speak to your class with enthusiasm and motivation to do well!
COUPON BOOK SALES-We are here as your class officers to tell you of an opportunity the student council is giving us to help raise funds for our class.
We are going to ask you to sell 1 or more of these coupon books. Each book has thousands of dollars’ worth of coupons for stores, restaurants and services in the Hudson valley. We are hoping that your family will support us by purchasing the book you bring home today. Just by using 2 or 3 of the coupons, this book pays for itself!
For each book sold, our class will earn and the student council will each earn $5 . If everyone in our class just sells the one book you receive today, we can make nearly $500, if you sell just 2 we can make $1,000 and so on. Just think, if you sell only 5 books our class raises almost $2,500!!

The student council will use their portion to fund such activities as pep rallys, and aid classes and clubs with their needs. In the past they’ve funded things like dances, tvs and a microwave in the café.
The books sell for $20. You will receive an envelope with one book to use as a sample. Collect your orders on the outside of the envelope. PLACE YOUR NAME AND GRADE ON THE ENVELOPE AS SOON AS YOU GET IT! This is important officers!
Orders and unsold books are due back to Mrs. Hackett by next Thursday, February 26th. All orders will be filled by March 13th.
Students with the most sales from each grade will be eligible for drawings for free gifts, such as movie tickets, concession stand items, ice cream, etc.
The class with the most sales will be announced at the PEP Rally and win ______
WE WILL NOW HAND OUT THE ENVELOPES- WHEN YOU GET YOUR ENVELOPE PUT THE FOLLOWING INFO ON THE OUTSIDE OF IT: YOUR NAME, GRADE AND DUE DATE OF 2/26.
ALL ORDERS AND UNSOLD BOOKS GET RETURNED TO MRS HACKETT ON OR BEFORE 2/26!!
