Dear Instructor,

You are invited to a STIHLTraining Course for educators to be conducted at the STIHL Inc. headquarters and manufacturing facility in Virginia Beach, VA.

This class will provide three days of intense curriculum review and development of training materials focusing on design and principles of operation of small two-stroke and four-stroke air cooled engines, including exhaust emissions, carburetion, magneto, diagnostics, and troubleshooting. We will concentrate on current production of STIHL products including stratified scavenging and four-stroke engine designs. There will also be a factory tour.

There is $100 fee for the class, for which you will receive training materials for educational use, such as DVDs, CD-ROM tutorials, PowerPoint lessons and instructor manual, and other take-aways suitable for teaching in a classroom.

The $100 fee is due on or before arrival after you have received confirmation to attend. A check is required. Credit cards or cashcannot be accepted.

The class is limited to 12 attendees on a first come, first served basis.Do not book flights or make reservations until STIHL Inc. has confirmed the class will make. We will let you know by June 15, 2012.

We will decide if the class makes based on the number of applications received by June 15 at the latest, and send you a confirmation letter or let you know the class is cancelled at that time.

Travel Details:

You should plan to arrive at your leisure prior to the first day of class. The session will end at approximately 5:00 p.m. on June 27, and you can plan your departure accordingly. Those departing via airlines should schedule flights leaving no earlier than 7:00 p.m. the final day of the class.

Hotel Accommodations:

STIHL Inc. will have a preferred hotel that we will provide transportation to and from the STIHL Inc. location.

We will negotiate a discounted room rate which is to be announced. Last year it was around $130 per night.

Virginia Beach is a great vacation and tourist area, so feel free to make other accommodations and bring the family if you so desire. Hotel rooms at the ocean front start at around $220.00 per night.

Transportation Service:

If you are flying to NorfolkInternationalAirport, there are various rental car and taxi services available adjacent to the baggage claim area.

Transportation between the preferred hoteland STIHL Inc. on the days of the seminar will be available free of charge. Pick-up will be at 8:00 a.m. each morning for transport to STIHL Incorporated’s Technical Training Facility. Plan to be in the hotel lobby entrance by 7:55 a.m. each morning to meet the driver if you need transportation to STIHL Inc. You will also be provided transportation back to the hotel each evening. Please advise STIHLInc. and the hotel in advance if you require special accommodations and/or assistance for wheelchairs or other personal needs.

If you are driving to Virginia Beach,the address ofSTIHL Incorporated is 536 Viking Drive. The course begins at 8:30 a.m. each day, and will end at 5:30 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday and at 5:00 p. m. on Wednesday. Please arrive at STIHL by 8:15 a.m. in order to be on time for the class if you are driving.

Meals:

STIHL will provide complimentary breakfast, lunch, andrefreshments each day and a dinner with STIHL Inc. Management onTuesdayevening of the session. If you have family here they are invited to the dinner. Meals other than those mentioned can be purchased at the hotel or from nearby restaurants.

Appropriate Dress:

We ask that you wear appropriate attire that reflects good taste and professionalism. Collared shirts, casual slacks, or clean jeans are acceptable. Comfortable, closed toe shoes or work footwear should be worn. No open toed shoes or sandals are allowed.

Please note that you will spend some time outdoors running products in normal dusty and dirty conditions.Shorts, T-shirts, “muscle” shirts, etc. can be unsafe to wear when running equipment and are not appropriate dress while attending the class.

STIHL Incorporated and the STIHLDistributionCenters will not be responsible to reimburse any costs incurred by the attendee to attend the STIHL Training Course for any reason. Reasons include but are not limited to the class being cancelled due to reasons beyond the control of STIHL Inc.
