PCBA is excited to be actively recruiting vacant Coordinator and Board Member roles for the 2017-18 Season. Despite the association only being several years old, it has seen exponential growth. In 2016-17, the club hit the 500 member mark and has become the 2nd largest club in Nova Scotia. This has only been possible because of our club’s many great coaches, volunteers and players, along with family and community support. Success such as this cannot be achieved by the work of one or a few, but by many giving selfless efforts to ensure that our youth receive a positive and rewarding experience both on and off the basketball court.
Are you someone that wants to be a part of an association that has already delivered countless lasting memories and rewarding experiences to our communities youth? If the answer is yes, then we are looking for people to fill the following roles:
Club Treasurer
Responsible for the tracking and coordination of club finances, and reporting to respective teams on team balances.
Equipment/Uniform Coordinator
Responsible for the distribution and tracking of the clubs equipment and uniforms, and evaluating equipment condition and needs.
Coaching Development Coordinator
Responsible for mentoring and developing club coaches. Will act as a point person for coaches, and will advise on any technical questions pertaining to coaching and development opportunities.
Communications Coordinator
Will act as a communications liason between respective club teams and community media partners, as well as to the club web and social media master.
Gym/Facilities Coordinator
Responsible for scheduling gym times, and will act as a communication liason between teams and facility/school point people.
Board Member
Responsible for collaborating and discussing current and upcoming club policies, procedures and pertinent club ongoings on behalf of the club. We are seeking 3 people to join our Board Members team.
