Re: New POMCO Prescription Administrator 2017 – SilverScript® Insurance Company affiliated with CVS Caremark®

Dear Retiree,

POMCO is changing their Benefits Administrator effective January 1, 2017. The new provider is SilverScript Insurance Company. Express Scripts will no longer provide you with your prescriptions.

There will be no change to your copays or prescription coverage. As a Medicare-eligible member, the SilverScript plan combines a standard Medicare Part D prescription drug plan with additional coverage sponsored by POMCO, to provide you with prescription drug coverage that will equal or exceed your current prescription drug benefit. There will be no change to your current copay or benefit.

***There is no need for you to take any action.*** You will automatically be enrolled in the plan. If POMCO needs any additional information to enroll you in the plan, you will be contacted. In October, you will receive a mailing from SilverScript with a cover letter and Summary of Benefits. Included with the Summary of Benefits is a POMCO fact sheet with key information. The letter will tell you that you have the choice to opt out of the SilverScript plan.
Since the program is combined with Medicare, they require us to present you with this option, but we do not recommend that you do so.

If you decide to opt out, you will lose your prescription drug coverage and health coverage from POMCO for you and your covered dependents enrolled in POMCO.

*************************************************************************************

-Retirees: SilverScript will provide prescription benefits for you and your Medicare-eligible spouses/domestic partners and/or Medicare-eligible children in the POMCO plan. Each person enrolled will get a separate prescription card from POMCO that says SilverScript. You will then have a POMCO card for your benefits and a SilverScript card for your prescriptions.

-If your spouse/domestic partner or children are not Medicare eligible, the SilverScript plan will not apply to them. They will have the same POMCO benefits and prescription benefits with SilverScript. They will also receive new cards.

Please note that you should not enroll in Medicare Part D on your own. POMCO is automatically enrolling you in the

SilverScript plan and will submit the enrollment to Medicare on your behalf. If you enroll in another Medicare Part D plan, that plan will not have the additional coverage from POMCO and you will lose your prescription drug coverage as well as your health coverage from Westchester County.

If you have questions about eligibility or enrollment, please contact Westchester County Benefits at 914-995-4715.
