Dear Resident:

“Concession Stand” Fund Raising Project

The Ramapo Regional High School Booster Association is soliciting funds to rebuild the “Concession Stand” located at the south end of the athletic field. This project will cost approximately $60,000 to tear down and build a newer facility. This facility will provide a safer and cleaner environment for the many volunteers that staff the concession stand at the many athletic events that are held each year at the field. In keeping with the Booster Association’s mission, this project will enhance the athletic program by providing all teams with an ability to operate a concession stand that will have:

  • Improved space and storage capability
  • Upgraded electrical and plumbing systems
  • Upgraded appliances
  • A safer and esthetically conforming building

This project has been approved by the RIH Board of Education and the Superintendent of Ramapo Regional High School. As with all “Grass Roots” funding efforts, the Booster Association is in the process of raising funds that will support this project as well as a few other projects that are being planned for in 2004. To date, the association has raised over $10,000 from various fund-raisers that have been held over the past few months. In addition, we have also received commitments from a few companies that have signed up under our Corporate Gold and Silver Sponsorship program. However, we still need to raise $30,000 to $40,000 in additional donations in order to reach our goal of $60,000. To attain this goal, we are reaching out to the communities of Wyckoff and Franklin Lakes to ask for their support to help make this project and others that are being planned an overwhelming success.

We believe that residents have a part to play in this project. Whether your son or daughter attended Ramapo or Indian Hills High School in the past or is attending either one of these great schools today or will be attending in the future, we all benefit by providing a standard of excellence that makes our community and district one of the best in the state.

The following levels of donations have been established to encourage greater community participation. We also understand that not everyone is in a position to provide financial support so we are encouraging all residents to contact the project coordinators to volunteer their time during the construction process. As indicated before, this is a “Grass Roots” community project that will allow everyone who wants to help, a chance to give of their time and talent.

No matter what level of support you eventually decide to give, the Booster Association, along with all the student athletes, want to express our sincere appreciation for your support and commitment to the success of all the athletic and academic programs at Ramapo and Indian Hills Regional High Schools.

“Together we can achieve what others only think about”……..

Sincerely,

Jim Hogan
