Cough occurs in association withacute upper respiratory tract infection, acute pharyngitis, acute bronchitis and chronic sinusitis, all of which rankamong the top 10 reasons for visiting family physicians4.
Oral administration of the medicines is one among the important Shamana line of treatment which is very easily administered, well accepted and alsoeffective inchildren. Many herbal formulations have been explored and proven effective in the management of Kaphaja Kasa. As Ayurveda is catching up globally still more exploration of new formulations is essential to meet the demand.
