Stud Contract
Under the terms of this agreement, the undersigned parties agree to the following
conditions in regard to the breeding identified below. Only after this agreement has
been signed will the breeding take place.

Conditions of Service
1. Prior to the stud service, the bitch owner will provide the following information
about the bitch to the stud dog owner:
___ Negative brucellosis test dated within 10 days of a natural breeding.
(Test only required for natural breeding.)
___ Copy of AKC pedigree if not online
___ Copy of normal OFA or PennHip hip report if not on
___ Copy of board-certified ophthalmologist’s report certifying that the bitch is free of hereditary eye defects
2. The stud owner will NOT be held liable for injuries that may be sustained by the bitch during the breeding process or while on the stud owner’s property.
3. The bitch owner agrees to perform progesterone and/or LH testing on the bitch to determine the proper breeding window. The bitch owner will be responsible for any and all medical expenses, including those pertaining to hormone testing and veterinary fees. If a natural breeding cannot be accomplished, the bitch owner agrees to provide a credit card number to the collecting veterinarian to cover any AI costs.
4. The stud fee is $600. Of this, a non-refundable breeding fee of $100 is to be paid at the time of the breeding. This fee is for a one or two-tie natural breeding, second breeding to take place 24-48 hours after the first tie, upon mutual agreement between bitch and stud owners. The remainder of the stud fee is due within two weeks of the whelping of the litter of at least three live puppies. After full payment has been made, the stud dog owner will sign the litter registration. If fewer than three live puppies are whelped, the stud fee will be adjusted to $100 per puppy.
Frozen semen may be obtained at Inver Grove Heights Animal Clinic . Any additional cost for shipping and handling will be paid directly to the semen bank by the bitch owner. AI cost will be the responsibility of the bitch owner. A $100 deposit must be received by stud owner before release of the semen from the bank. This will be applied towards the stud fee and all other terms remain the same.
5. The bitch owner agrees that no puppy produced as a result of this breeding will be sold to a pet shop, agent or broker.
6. The owners of the stud dog are not obligated to sign an application for litter registration with the AKC, nor may such application be made, until and unless all applicable terms stated above have been met.
7. If the bitch’s owner(s) fail to fulfill the conditions of this contract, then the bitch’s owner(s) will be responsible for reasonable attorney’s fees if action is taken by the stud dog owner on behalf of the bitch that was bred and/or puppies that were produced from this breeding.
After reading the above terms and conditions, we find them mutually agreeable and acceptable.
