Notes

  1. As the RAFCT intent is to invest in people who will provide future support to RAF Sports Associations, no applications will be processed where an individual has less than 18 months to their planned exit date. Countersigning chairmen are to confirm that the individual has more than 18 months left to serve.
  2. Grants for coaching awards will ordinarily only be considered for UKCC level 1-3 or National Governing Body (NGB) equivalent. Awards above this level will be considered on a merit basis and should detail how the elite level of coaching will be beneficial to the RAF Sports Association and/or NGB.
  3. Grants for officials will be considered at all levels in accordance with association’s NGB requirements. The narrative should contain information on what commitment an individual will make towards the RAF Sports Association on successful completion of their award (there is an expectation that no officiating fees will be charged by the individual to the association).
  4. Bids by associations to run courses for coaches and officials will be considered. Where civilians are invited to attend such training they should pay the full cost of the training and should not be subsidised by this grant.
  5. All grant recipients (or associations for group training) should detail how they intend to publicise the support they have received from the RAFCT.
  6. Proof of completion may be requested and failure to complete the course may require individuals to repay the grant award unless there have been extenuating circumstances or Service commitments that have led to that failure.
  7. Individuals submitting a grant request should read the Fair Processing Statement below which explains how the association and the RAFSF will process their personal data. Further details can be found in the RAFSF Privacy Statement.
