/ 1000 Southern Artery is Senior Housing for more than 700 residents. Opportunities to serve and volunteer include:
- Dinner service and/or clean-up: 4:30 – 6:30 (one to two students at a time- varied days (Mon - Fri).
- Assisting with special events as needed/scheduled.
- Assisting with clerical projects as needed.
/ Students and volunteers are encouraged to perform, take part in one of our scheduled activities or come up with an activity they would like to do with the residents on their own.
Examples of activities include:

The courses we offer include arts & crafts, nature, health, science, and writing. This is a great opportunity for any student interested in teaching or just wanting to give back to younger students in the community!

Click here for more information / Impact Quincy, a program of Bay State Community Services, is a community advocacy group that works to prevent underage drinking and substance abuse. You may recognize the Impact Quincy (IQ) through the Trivia Competition or the Game Show held at the high school.
IQ has a community service opportunity called, “Sticker Shock.” Sticker Shock is a project in collaboration with local package stores and pizza shops to raise adult awareness that buying alcohol for minors is both unsafe and illegal. To accomplish this, IQ creates customer bags and stickers with an informational message to discourage adults purchasing alcohol for minors.
- Impact Quincy is looking for Quincy high school age youth to help with this project
- You can earn up to 10 community service hours during June and/or July
- With an Impact Quincy Program Coordinator, volunteers will help to distribute stickers and bags to pizza shops and package stores
- This opportunity might lead to a job as a Peer Advocate at Impact Quincy during the school year
