Questions You May Have About The Pampered Chef
(And the Answers to Them!)

1.Do I have to be a good cook?We are not professional cooks or chefs. Many of our consultants don't even like to cook, but our products and recipes make meal preparation quick and easy. The recipes recommended for our demonstrations are easy to prepare no matter what your level of cooking skill.
2.Do I have to be a "salesperson"? You don't have to be a professional salesperson. You will be trained on ways to demonstrate our products.
3.Are there sales quotas I have to meet?This is your business and you determine how much you want to work. You can design your own dream. A commitment of only 10-20 hours per week will help you to have a consistent business and income. To remain an active consultant you must submit $200 in sales in any two consecutive months.
4.Do I have to keep inventory on hand? You do not have to keep any products in inventory or purchase products each month.
5.Do I have to deliver the products? You do not make deliveries. All products purchased at shows are shipped directly to the host/hostess.
6.Is it easy to get bookings? Pampered Chef shows are fun so bookings are not difficult to obtain. The average number of bookings per show is 2.
7.Are there sales territories? No. If you have friends/family in another state, you can go do a show and visit them at the same time!
8.Are there regular meetings that I must attend?There is a sales/training meeting once a month for all consultants. At these meetings we recognize achievements, have training sessions, see a demonstration, and share ideas with other consultants. They are held for your benefit. Additional training is also offered through DVD’s, Online learning, Tele-Classes, Individualized Programs, and Conferences.
9.Exactly how much does it cost to become a consultant? There is no "fine print". Your investment is $159 plus tax.You may choose to host a Cooking Show and receive up to $40 off the Consultant Kit, reducing the cost to $119. You will receive over $580 in products and supplies.Your only commitment is to submit $1250 in commissionable sales (or 4 shows).Most consultants earn their $119 investment back after one or two shows.
10.What does my $159 include? Your $159 investment includes over $580 in products, paperwork, training supplies, software, and an apron and tote -everything you need to get started! You also have a 90-day period in which you can earn an unlimited amount of Pampered Chef dollars to spend how you want on products, paperwork, and even Conference registration. This is in addition to the commission you earn. YOU decide how much you earn and YOU choose your rewards.
11.Are there any other costs associated with getting started? You can invest as much or as little as you choose. Your kit includes enough paperwork to get you started. You will need to purchase a few office supplies.
12.Who pays for the host/hostess benefits? The Pampered Chef pays for the items the host/hostess receives for having a show. Those who Host a show for you in your first 30 days receive an additional gift.
13.How much do I earn and when do I get paid? You begin by earning20%-25% commission on your sales. There is the opportunity to earn up to 31% commission on your personal sales, along with other benefits. The Pampered Chef offers many ways to increase your income. You can even earn incredible vacations for you and your family! Consultants are paid twice a month when choosing direct deposit.
14.When can I get started? You can sign up at or we can order your starter kit by mail. You can begin your training at any time.
15.How do I get my first shows lined up? Ask your friends and relatives to help you start your business by hosting a Cooking Show. They will not only be helping you, but they will have the opportunity to take advantage of our very generous Host program. You can even host one or two of your first shows and earn both free products and commission. If you can line up six shows right away, your business will be off to a flying start.
16.How will I be trained? There are several ways to receive training. You will receive training DVD’s and support materials in your kit. You will also receive training through me. I will teach you how to use the products and advise you in your business. There is a special training for New Consultants and there are monthly sales/training meetings. The company offers Online training, Tele-Classes and additional DVD‘s. You will be in business for yourself, but not by yourself.
